In this video we start out talking about some of the built in application on the Samsung Captivate for AT&T, plus go over ways that you can customize that application tray. Then about halfway through we do a browser speed test between the Captivate, Nexus One, and iPhone 4.

@Doctors2Advocate web browsing on the captivate is gonna b amazing wen it gets 2.2!!!!
as soon as i get this fone im getting rid of samsungs touchwiz 3.0 im replacing it with launcher pro
@spyderballer83 ANDROID FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@sanketsprabhu
thats because of a bug in the current firwares, which can be fixed by doing something called the lag fix , in the future it’ll probably be fixed by a software update
I suggest you do a youtube search for galaxy s stall fix, they are many videos showing the crazy speed with the fix done !
as you know the iPhone 4 has issues as well , as do other phones ,you can’t expect phones to be perfect ! but whats comforting is knowing it can be fixed !
is this better than i phone4? i cant decide
Is there any chance of the Captivate getting rooted? If it can, I will get the Captivate for sure. If not, Ill be getting the iPhone 4. Although, considering the Captivate isnt even in peoples hands yet, I will be waiting a bit.
Another awesome comparison video- good job.
I was hoping you were going to demonstrate the DLNA feature.
@donthehonk actually it’s already rooted , because of the galaxy s being rooted earlier this month !!!
I’ve never been into rooting and stuff but rooting this phone is very advantageous , because Samsung messed up their firmware and as a result there seems to be slow I/O performance on these phones, by doing something called the stall fix {which requires root access} the speed of the device increases 5 fold you really need to see it to beleive , search for galaxy s stall fix on youtube
@donthehonk Its already been rooted along, with the Vibrant and other Galaxy phones. See androidforums
@beerthax Thank you very much guys for responding. Ill go see what those guys are up to!
maybe you should do the video again without blockig the antenna
