BlueDevil 1.0 Review with Videos

BlueDevil is the new KDE Bluetooth stack. This review presents the following components: KDE Config Module (system preferences), BlueDevil Wizard (for pairing devices), Systray, KDE Input/Output integration (KIO, allows you to discover and browse your devices from your favorite file browser), File reception.

…deo003.3gp . That fact is what made me decide to use my spare time working on kdebluetooth.
After months of work in kbluetooth (the kdebluetooth fork I did), it started to work, but that spent hours made me realize that the kbluetooth never would be stable, it is a clear example of spaghetti code. Because of that, we started a new project called BlueDevil. If you’re wondering about the name, Edulix came with it while working on the daemon, and it is based on PowerDevil (the name).
After a few fridays working on it, suddenly a Spanish company sent an email to me, asking for help to develop a Qt library to deal with BlueZ. A couple of emails (and beers) later, they hired us (ufocoders) to write the library, the first big step towards a real BlueDevil was done.
It’s known that the best way to fully test a library is by using it a lot, so we started a negotiation to finance the development of BlueDevil, finally we got an agreement, we’ll pay it…

…The Commtiva Sola comes in either a dual-band 900 / 1800 or 850 / 1900 version, and can optionally have GPRS support, in which case it comes with a WAP 2.0 browser. It weighs around 90 grams and measures 105 x 45 x 16mm.There’s no Bluetooth or digital camera on the Sola, but that sort of thing will just drain the battery. On a full charge, the Sola should give over three hours of talktime and about 10 days standby time….

Android beats iPhone 4

The newer Android version 2.2 actually has a browser and speed that surpasses the ones of the very brand new iPhone 4. This is speaking of a 6 month old, Nexus

…an Apple iPad. While the iPad runs a third generation Apple iOS, the newer iOS 4.0 is run by iPhone 4 which too has befallen the very same fate as its counterpart, the iPad.

Seeing the above tests, it is no surprise, that the Android annihilates iPhone 4 in a battle against speed and power. According to the tests, the Android easily renders the Javascript pages and all unlike the iPhone 4 which does not come in par with it. To prove these tests forehand, the fellows over at Engadget actually compared both of these devices with real live tests and proved that indeed, the Android was a much better OS. This could very well be a vital key for Google, in them overcoming Apple’s domination over the market….

5 Reasons to Upgrade to Apple’s Safari 5 | TheTechJour

Apple launched an updated version of its Safari Web browser for Mac OS X 10.5.8 and 10.6.2 or higher, as well as Windows XP SP2 or higher, Vista, and Windows

…just as extensions are built for Firefox and Chrome. Apple has already provided a tool called Extension Builder to make it easy to package, distribute and install extensions. And through its free Safari Developer Program, which also provides resources for developing iPhone/iPad Web apps, developers can register for a digital signature to go with their extensions.
As of yet, only a few extensions are available on the Web, which isn’t surprising given that Safari 5 was just released. As developers join the Safari Developer Program and create extensions, Apple will begin adding them to a Web-based gallery. In the meantime, a Tumblr blog is already listing extensions.
One annoyance about Apple’s implementation is that extensions are disabled by default. To enable them, you must use Safari’s preferences to enable the Develop menu (there’s a checkbox on the Advanced tab), then click on the Develop menu and select Enable Extensions.

The first thing I checked out in Safari 5 was the new Reader mode….

You can download this browser free if you have the iPhone and when it comes to the touch based web browsers then surely it is tremendous, it lets you zoom in and out of the websites with just a mere double tap or pinch and for the larger view rotate the iPhone 90 degree to the landscape and enjoy. You can also save and synchronize your bookmark sites on iPhone and then get the ease of direct going to those pages. Thus in each and every aspect that we see in a mobile web browser, this is quite well in not only content but also speed.
